Mother of the Bride

I was attending someones wedding last summer and they knew that I was "into photography" and asked me kinda to do some shots, however I didn`t get what they ASKED me to do, I still gave them some good pics for a GREAT price of $0.00.

I figured since I would already be at the wedding, and would already be carrying my "Good" camera (the DSLR CANON) that I would practice something that I wanted to try, it`s called a second shooter.

For a wedding, a photographer is hired as usual to get "THE" shots,( you know, the ones that everyone insists on), well the second hired photographer can look for other great shots, freeing up the main photographer to get even BETTER shots of the main players.

The second shooter gets, well, the secondary shots. At this wedding I tried to play that role but I wish I had asserted myself more when getting the shots. I have so many could be great shots with someones back of head in the shot. I needed to be able to walk around freely.

Communication on this shoot was horrible, but then I didn`t press anything either because I was not actualy hired or formally asked to shoot anything until JUST before the wedding. And then that threw me too, being asked to shoot something that soon I realized I had no time to research anything and weather also threw a sudden storm at us that I think messed up getting people organized and I`m sure this is all just part of the job.

I would LOVE to try this again as a hired pro. I would have better access and freedoms than that of a guest just pretending to shoot a wedding.....lol.
